A little throwback to five months ago, when I created custom calligraphy place cards for my coworker’s wedding. (Hi, Jules!) 💌

Each one was handlettered with my favorite pen in modern calligraphy, then wrapped in craft paper with antique sheet music design for a touch of nostalgia. 🎶😍

I love that projects like these live on beyond the day itself — these little cards double as keepsakes you can slip into a journal, scrapbook, or memory box. They hold a name, a moment, and a story all at once!

✨️Hi, I’m Sandra — the artist behind all the painted memories you see here!

Everything I create is inspired by the little moments I never want to forget, or places I've been or dream of going to — family, travel, and my African heritage are often featured in my work.

What started as a way to heal after postpartum depression slowly turned into this small business filled with art, stickers, pins, and journals handmade out of convenience and just not finding what i was looking for.

Now I balance it with a full-time job and mom life; often creating in the evenings and weekends, and though time is tight, painting still allows my mind to slow its chaotic racing and have some peace — and I hope watching me paint brings you a bit of that too!

I tried my best to capture the feeling of Berlin in these paintings. I'll turn my sketches into prints and stickers for my patrons this weekend and will bring the prints to my shop later on.

✨️Memories of Congo DRC 🇨🇩 my birthplace! Some of my memories from my home land are vague because I left at such a young age, but I still hold some vivid ones, brought back by smells, sounds, and my love of food! (Obvi! Lol!!) 🥰

Street foods like fried beignets, mango with salt and hot pepper, and a bottle of ice cold Vitalo grenadine are some of my favorites... yummm!

✨️Just a little reminder for anyone out there trying to balance all the things—I see you. 🫶🏾

It’s not always easy working a full-time job, supporting your family, and still chasing your creative dreams. I’m right there with you.

Some days, I only get an hour (or less!) to work on my art or social media content, but I am choosing to show up anyway. I use what I have. I rest when I need to. And I remind myself that slow progress is still progress. This season might be busy, but it’s still mine—and I’m making it work for me.

✨️ Things that take me back! Who remembers this elastic game? While the manufacturing process begins, here is one of the remaining two paintings.

PANOS from Cape Verde 🇨🇻 are handwoven cotton textiles deeply rooted in the country's history and culture.

They are typically crafted on narrow looms and adorned with intricate geometric patterns and stripes, often in earthy tones like white, black, red, and brown.

Cape Verdean women have passed down this weaving tradition through generations.

Panos are versatile and can be worn as skirts, shawls, headwraps, or even to decorate homes. They remain a cherished part of the nation’s cultural identity, worn during traditional ceremonies and festivals to celebrate Cape Verde’s rich heritage.
